How is the CO₂ laser treatment performed?
The CO2 laser treatment takes 20-40 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated. During the procedure, special goggles will be fitted to protect your eyes. The laser acts on the skin in micro-points, creating a kind of grid and removing small irregularities. At the same time, the heat from the laser warms the skin and stimulates collagen production. Although you may feel a slight burning sensation from the heat of the laser, this discomfort is alleviated with a topical anesthetic cream that is applied about an hour before the procedure.

Recommendations after treatment
After treatment, your skin may become slightly swollen, red and burning. We therefore recommend cooling the treated area and applying a healing cream, such as Bepanthen. Small scabs may appear within 2-3 days but will heal within 5-14 days. The effect of the treatment will become apparent after approximately six weeks.
It is important to be gentle on the skin after treatment. Once the skin has calmed down, you can use make-up on it again. However, as long as it is sensitive, rinse it gently with pine water or boiled water. For the next 6-8 weeks, avoid the sun and use a high UV-factor cream, ideally SPF 50+. Sunbeds should also be avoided. The result of the treatment always depends on the specific skin problem, age, skin type and the area to be treated.
