Blood draws
If you are suffering from excessive hair loss or even alopecia (baldness), increased incidence of dandruff, your hair is too oily or too dry, it is advisable to contact a professional trichological workplace, which will first of all analyse the causes of your problem. One of the first steps of a comprehensive hair examination is laboratory blood tests, which serve to rule out the basic and most common reasons for the above indications.
On the basis of the initial examination in the hair clinic, the trichologist (dermatologist) will decide whether it is necessary to complete special blood tests, perform a biopsy (tissue sample) or other examinations. Alternatively, you can bring your own blood test results, which are no older than 3 months, to the clinic.
The next step is usually a comprehensive hair examination.

When are blood draws done?
A request form is always issued by a doctor after a consultation in the case of:
- chronic hair loss
- acute hair loss
- any hair loss and hair loss not responding to treatment
- scarring alopecia
- other internal disease leading to hair loss
